i have had my xps for just 2yr3mon. it had a blue screen attack in sept09 which dell recognized as a bad nivida video card, which they replaced free. my machine just quite totally this week march 29,10, due to a failure of the mother board (dell troubleshoot). Dell will not warrenty the MB even though they replaced it with the video card less than 6 months ago. i am finnished with dell after almost 20 years
